Jana Krecanova, BACP Accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist

Information & Contact

I provide one-to-one counselling and psychotherapy on a short-term or long-term basis, depending on your needs. Therapy sessions last 50 minutes and are regular weekly appointments.

My in-person practice is based in Belgravia (postcode SW1W), a 2-minute walk from London Victoria Station, and in Vauxhall (postcode SW8) near Vauxhall and Oval stations.

Throughout the pandemic I have been conducting therapy sessions online and have found it as effective as in person therapy.

Fees:

£100 for a 50-minute session.

If you decide to have therapy with me, we can find a regular time each week to meet for a 50-minute session.

I operate a one week cancellation policy for face-to-face sessions with the possibility of having a replacement online session. A 48-hour cancellation policy applies to online sessions. This means that I will not charge any fee if you give the required notice. Sessions cancelled by you without the required notice are liable for a full fee payment.

The best results come from a consistent engagement over at least eight weeks. In the eighth session, we can review the counselling process and negotiate further therapy as appropriate.

I offer the eighth session free of charge if a block of eight sessions is booked and paid for in advance (total £700 for eight sessions).

To arrange an initial consultation or ask questions, please contact me by telephone or e-mail. Please feel free to arrange a brief chat. Your name contact details and your message will be kept confidential.

Health Insurance and Employee Assistance Programmes

Your workplace may offer health insurance or an Employee Assistance Programme that covers therapy sessions. I currently work with the following health insurance and employee assistance providers. Please contact me if your provider is not listed and I will do my best to engage with them.

Aviva Logo

Aviva

Pre-authorisation from Aviva is required. You will be sent a “Confirmation of Cover” letter with the number of allowed sessions or monetary value, along with an “authorisation” number once benefit for treatment has been confirmed. You will need to provide me a copy of this letter and your authorisation number before your first appointment. You are liable for any missed appointments.

Axa Health Logo

AXA

AXA members are encouraged to call their Personal Advisory Team before arranging any treatment and to confirm eligibility. You are advised to call them with an open referral from your GP. AXA will check the details of your plan and give authorisation information, which you will pass on to me before your first appointment.

BUPA Logo

Bupa

Pre-authorisation from Bupa is required. Some Bupa policies include an excess (usually £100) which means that the first £100 has to be paid directly to me and the rest is covered by Bupa. Not all policies have that but it's good to check.

Cigna Logo

Cigna

Cigna members are required to call for authorisation prior to treatment and are given an authorisation code with the number of sessions it covers.
